We’re throwing back to the 80’s as we check out the eyewear in the iconic musical comedy ‘The Blues Brothers’. This tale of convicts gone good trying to raise money for the orphanage that they grew up in was one of the most surprising hits of the 80’s and even more surprising was the cult following that it gained. The film should have been an automatic success thanks to the star power it had behind it as well as featuring a whole host of singing sensations from Aretha Franklin to Ray Charles. One of the most surprising reasons behind the films success was the very flawed filming process. One of the main actors was addicted to drugs at the time of filming and constantly caused delays in production plus the film is still the most expensive musical comedy ever made (there wasn’t even a budget set out, they just kept spending). In spite of all this it still managed to take over $110 million at global box offices and has gone down in history as a cult classic.
