Ok so I’m probably not going to win an Oscar for my script writing skills but I can tell you all about Persol’s® latest project, The Phoenix Reborn. Being one of the longest-running and best-known sunglasses brands in the world, Persol has decided to draw inspiration from the past for its latest campaign and is asking you to get in on the fun.
Persol the Phoenix Reborn
The Phoenix reborn is all about the Film Noir. The genre has become recently popular once again thanks to the popularity of films like Sin City which draw a lot of inspiration from the cinematic style. The Film Noir genre generally tends to focus around crime dramas and was most prominent in the 40’s and 50’s. Many references we use today stem from the times with characters like the Femme Fatale gaining popularity in these films. We are all familiar with the black and white films with a touch of sexiness added to them.
Persol has decided that they want you to make your own 30 second Film Noir and upload it to their website. TO celebrate the launch of this project they’ve released 2 pairs of sunglasses and 2 pairs of glasses that fir perfectly in the films. They are Persol PO3072s, PO3070v, PO3073v and PO3074s.
