Audrey Hepburn is the epitome of classic style and grace. Even years after her death, her style still lives on as a shining beacon of the perfect lady-like attire. Born in 1929 in Brussels, Hepburn spent most of her adolescence in the UK with her big break playing the role of Gigi on Broadway. The role set Hepburn up as one of the leaders of Hollywood’s golden era and her elfin-like features and model-esque stature immediately made her a firm favourite of designer Givenchy.

Her style is charecterised by that of her character Holly Golightly in the film Breakfast At Tiffany’s, wearing arguably the world’s most famous Little Black Dress and some Oliver Goldsmith sunglasses. Audrey Hepburn was truly one of the world’s first and greatest fashionistas, with a style that extended from the screen into real life.

Audrey Hepburn understood the importance of standing out. She could play masculine just as well as she could feminine. Her greatest triumph was her clever make-up and accessories that always gave her a feminine edge. The eyeliner worked perfectly to soften her masculine hair and her sunglasses balanced out the traditional masculine tailoring that she was such a fan of. So to keep it Audrey, put together a simple white shirt with some chic tailored pattern trousers and gold accessories and match with the perfect sunglasses. My personal favorites are these Céline Audrey Sunglasses, inspired by the woman herself and her classic style.
