With the Oscars literally only weeks away, the competition is on between some of the finest actresses in Hollywood. This years list ranged from relative newcomers to seasoned vets and the entries came from every corner of the globe. Every year the actresses nominated usually triumph thanks to their portrayal of turmoil and sadness and this year was no exception. We were moved by Felicity Jones in The Theory of Everything and  brought to tears by Julianne Moore in Still Alice. All five of the women are exceptionally talented and every bit as beautiful. Here we’re listing out how they manage to rock a pair of sunglasses or glasses in the movies and in their personal life and still look every bit the Hollywood starlet.

Julianne Moore

Julianne Moore looks nothing close to her age of 54 and has been a prolific actress since the 1990’s, having starred in huge blockbusters like Jurassic Park, A Single Man and The Hunger Games to name just 3 of her 61 movies. Her latest role sees her playing Alice, a lecturer suffering from early onset Alzheimer’s and how this affects her family and her work. Having been nominated for 5 Academy Awards in the past, this could be her year as the critics have all hailed her performance a triumph. She hasn’t aged a day as far as I can see and her style manages to maintain a sense of youth. She’s very playful with her eyewear and this really works to her advantage. In the first photo, she’s wearing a pair of oversized black rimmed glasses, that are very similar to these Dolce & Gabbana glasses and they really show-off her petite features very well. In the middle, she’s rocking some classic Ray-Ban® Aviator sunglasses and in the third she’s looking mature and elegant in some rimless glasses just like this Silhouette pair.

Felicity Jones

Felicity Jones is a relative newcomer to the world of Hollywood having made her name in shows like The Worst Witch and films like Chalet Girl and Like Crazy. Her part as the wife of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything with fellow Brit Eddie Redmayne is her biggest role to date and it has certainly won her a legion of new fans. Her looks are traditionally British, with a pale complexion and dark hair and she really knows how to play those features to her advantage. In the first photo, taken from Chalet Girl, Felicity is wearing a pair of white Ray-Ban® Original Wayfarer® sunglasses. In the middle photo, Felicity is in LA wearing some Dolce & Gabbana square shaped shades. She looks every bit the Hollywood star as she arrives at the airport in a dark ensemble with some Versace cat-eye sunglasses perched on the top of her head.

Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon is one of the best-known names in the business having been on our screens for well over 20 years and appearing in some of the biggest films of recent years like Legally Blonde and Cruel Intentions. She has been nominated for her role in Wild but she played a big role in another film garnering a lot of Oscar buzz; she was the executive producer for Gone Girl. Despite her age, Reese still looks like the girl next door and her style is timeless. Her petite face is perfect for oversized frames like this Versace pair she’s rocking in the first photo. In the middle she looks a little more subdued in a pair of Max Mara rimless sunglasses. In the third photo Reese is caught on a rare day off heading back from the gym in a pair of Oakley Frogskins.

Rosamund Pike

Rosamund Pikes’ career has exploded in recent years having appeared in cult classics like An Education and Surrogates. Gone Girl marks her first Academy Award nomination for playing the evil genius Amy who goes missing on her anniversary. As a typical English rose and also a little bit of a sex-bomb, her style off-screen is a little more daring than the persona she usually portrays. Pushing a trolley as she goes through the airport, in the first photo she’s rocking a pair of glasses like this Tom Ford pair and pairs them with a plunging neckline. In Gone Girl, she is seen driving away in a pair of Gucci sunglasses that hide her face, probably to make sure that she can’t be recognised. In the final shot, she’s wearing some round glasses that are similar to this Ray-Ban pair.  Her star is certainly set to rise in the next few years regardless of whether she wins the award or not.

Marion Cotillard

Marion Cotillard is by-far the best-known French actress of the past 20 years. Thanks in no small part to her flawless English and obviously perfect French, Marion has appeared in countless films using both of these languages. This year marks her second time nominated for an Academy Award, having won it back in 2007 for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose. Her talent really seems to show no bounds given that she has appeared in dark dramas like the Dark Knight, psychological thrillers like Inception and even dabbled in comedy appearing in Anchorman 2. In the first photo she’s sporting a pair of Linda Farrow sunglasses with a floral dress for the Cannes premiere of 2 Days, 1 Night. In the middle shot, she’s wearing some Persol® sunglasses as she flaunts her natural beauty in the Cannes sunlight. In the final shot she’s wearing some super colourful Ray-Ban® Clubmaster sunglasses.
