In the history of cinema, few films manage to stand the test of time. Not a surprise given the fact that well over 50,000 films are made every year. It’s now physically impossible to be able to watch every film ever made, even if you spent the rest of your life constantly watching movies. One great way to make sure that your film is memorable is to give people something to quote. ‘Go ahead, make my day‘, ‘I think we’re going to need a bigger boat‘, ‘I’m not like a regular mom, I’m a cool mom.’ The list is pretty much endless. One of my personal favourites is ‘I’ll be back‘ spoken by human wall turned California mayor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Terminator 2 Sunglasses
The quote is taken, as you hopefully know, from The Terminator. This 1984 classic has gone down in movie history and become a pop-culture icon, even being admitted to the American Film Registry. The film also helped to launch the careers of Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron and the world would certainly be a sadder place without those two. The film tells the tale of two men sent back to 1984; one to kill Sarah Connor and the other to protect her. Obvious chaos ensues and there have since been four sequels (the fourth is scheduled for release this year). Schwarzenegger has himself appeared in all 5 films in some way, shape or form.
Gargoyle Sunglasses
In the film, Arnie dons a pair of ANSI sunglasses from a brand called Gargoyle. These sunglasses are actually incredibly rare and if you have some, hold on to them.
