Muddy fields, pumping music and great bands – the Glastonbury weekend has finally arrived. With Glastonbury’s gates open since Wednesday morning, many festival-troopers are rapidly making their way to southwest England for a jam packed weekend of drinking, dancing and, in all likelihood, debauchery. Not all of us have the fortune of attending the king of the festival circuit and we’re even more green eyed by the fact that punters are predicting it to be the biggest blowout in the festival’s history.
Glastonbury promises to be a magical weekend, especially this year with so many homegrown performers including Jeff Lynne, Adele, Muse and Coldplay – Bob Shennan, Director of BBC Music
What to Pack
Love a good festival? Hate the mud part, losing your mates and lack of decent loos? Don’t we all. Without wanting ruin to your five-day fun fest, lack of preparation for the highly likely quagmire of late nights, booze and lack of sleep can make hindsight a fabulous thing. Fear not as we share our best insider tips for surviving one of the best weekends of your life.
What to Wear
A mix of rainy and stormy spells calls for practical festival outfits at this year’s Glastonbury festival. If you’re deciding what to wear, it’s probably worth taking a look at our outfit inspiration boards.

Rocker
There’s nothing quite like the glam of a rock ‘n’ roll outfit and there’s no better time to pay homage than this year, where legends like Muse and Coldplay will be headlining. Key pieces include rocker appropriate boots and a grungy shirt. A rocker look doesn’t need to be all about hardcore studs and chains so we’ve updated it with a feminine lace cut out top – just to keep things in balance.
Pair with: rocking, oversized Ray-Ban®Aviator™ shades
Hipster
The hipster look is a statement get-up that will never look out of place at Glasto. Typical pieces that complete the hipster ensemble include plaid, skinny jeans and retro eyeglasses. Bearing in mind the reported rainy temperatures, these items will be just perfect. We’ve added hip, leather slip on sneakers (for when you want to get comfortable), a metallic bag and a funky monochrome shawl (for cooler evenings).

Hippie
We’ve saved the best til last. That’s right, our favorite way to look fly at Glastonbury is to embrace the free-wheeling vibe of the festival. Capture the excitement by combining elegant elements like maxi dresses, vibrantly colors and crochet knit elements. Statement accessories are ubiquitous — and required. Join on the fun with a headband and bohemian jewelry.
